second encouragement assembly were held

On May 23rd, our President, Vice President and Executive Dean of Organization for Student Support Services visited us with the reporters of Asahi Newspapers to hold the second encouragement assembly.

To show the current progress, student staff of four groups--Water environment, Science and Technology, Disaster Management and Culture, gave their presentations.

Responding to each presentation, they advised us kindly to clarify the definition of ambiguous words such as “Energy”,”Environment” and “Culture” for smoother discussion at WSEN.

And they emphasized it is necessary for us to set discussion theme that could be shared among developed nations and developing nations, as commons issues.

And they hoped us to express proactive opinions that would give impacts to the whole world. Because we will fortunately receive the visit from Vice Minister of Environment Ministry of Japan at the closing ceremony, and then we have the opportunity to give him our proposals toward sustainable society that are expected to have a great influence.

After the encouragement assembly, our morale boosted. Keeping the advices in our mind, we will do our best to hold a great summit.
